At Ignite, we are extremely fortunate to work with some amazing restaurants in London and around the world. From small sandwich shops just starting out to 300-seat Chelsea stalwarts, the work is so varied that we never get bored.

The perks of our job are obvious – we not only get to visit the restaurants and try the fantastic food and drink on offer (strictly for research purposes, of course!) – but we also get to meet hard-working and passionate people who inspire us on a daily basis.

So we were incredibly pleased when we were invited to the launch party of one of our clients, MoBa, on Goodge Street.  The brainchild of two adorable Frenchmen, Theo Charoy and Thibaut Voury, MoBa is a French and Asian fusion bakery, boulangerie and sandwich shop; a Modern Bakery, if you will, which is the origin of the MoBa name. Their main focus is revisiting the classic Banh Mi – a perfect example of French and Asian fusion.  Ignite were lucky enough to help with the naming, branding and website build of this very exciting new project.

In the kitchen, Thibaut throws the French cooking rulebook out the window with his riffs on French classics, like a Thai Beef Bourgignon or coriander Duck Confit with a spicy mango sauce. These fusion fillings are then stuffed into a crusty-on-the-outside-soft-on-the-inside baguette. They have recruited a Master Baker from France, Geoffroy, who is putting his spin on things with flavoured baguettes like Ginger & Sesame, Soya & Garlic and the bright red Tandoori baguette.

But make sure to save room for something sweet at the end! With a French baker, you know that the pastries will be on point. We loved the Zen Lightning – a lime éclair with the perfect amount of sweetness and lip-smacking tartness. Or if you’re after a truly decadent treat, try the Speculoos Mango Cheesecake.

The opening party was fun and lively with food and drink a-plenty. The gracious hosts thanked their friends and family (and marketing agency!) for the love and support on their journey to opening MoBa over the past few months. We were thrilled to be a part of this amazing and exciting project and can’t wait to see MoBa achieve the success they rightly deserve!
