Makeover Magic

by Michelle Allmark published 20th May 2009

Spring has been great weather wise so far, lifting everyone's spirits out of the doom and gloom of the constant reminder of the recession. Why not bring some of that spring vibrancy inside and have a look at freshening up your interiors?

It's amazing how you can lift people's moods - customers and just as importantly staff by making a positive change to the environment around you. Creating a buzz in your restaurant or hotel by adding a bit of sparkle to your interiors will create excitement among staff and encourage new and old customers through your door. It's amazing what a spruce up can do to encourage custom.

In harder economic times innovation is the most important thing, it's amazing what you can achieve with a small budget and a big imagination! If the budget is small look at using second hand furniture, ebay is great for decorative items from around the world, visit the reclamation yard for some real gems. Using second hand items isn't just good for the wallet it is so much better for the environment - you can even use this in your marketing, win win win!!!

Whilst re-decorating your restaurant or hotel you will be de-cluttering, throwing out all those dust harbouring objet d'art from 1990 - just watch what happens to your staff organisation and drive when you do this - a tidy environment creates a clear and organised mind - it's almost like magic!
