For the first time, digital advertising in the UK is forecast to exceed 50% of all advertising spend in 2015, according to research published by Strategy Analytics.
Internet and mobile channels will account for £8bn of spend, over twice that of TV at £3.8bn.
Online and mobile ad spend is forecast to grow 9.5% year on year in 2015. This contrasts with print advertising, which is expected to decline.
Digital advertising growth will be driven by mobile, up 23%, social media and video, both up 18%. Search advertising will continue to account for half of all online advertising investment.
