The Perfect Mix For London Cocktail Week 2014

A Guide To More Than Great Drinks

Sarah Fulton

London’s largest cocktail party has just begun and that means all the best and brightest from the UK drinks scene are coming together to share stories, discuss current trends and celebrate the art of making cocktails. Experts from every side of the industry will be on-hand to deliver seminars and masterclasses that everyone can learn from.

In its fifth consecutive year, London Cocktail Week 2014 hosts an overwhelming amount of fun events – from unique experiences like being a part of the World’s Largest Rum Tasting to £4 cocktails at more than 200 partnering bars across the city.

And while this week gives libation lovers all over the city an opportunity to celebrate and raise a glass together with friends and colleagues in London, it’s also an important time of year for those working in the industry – in the UK and beyond.

So sip away, but listen up – here’s our Bright Sparks guide for those who want to expand their knowledge during this year’s LCW:

(*These are for trade wristbands only.)

If you’re not booked in yet and aren’t a trade member, you can still reserve your wristband now for £15 on the LCW site and pick up at any of their main hubs around the city:

– Ketel One Hub, Seven Dials (9 Earlham Street, WC2H 9LL)

– The Cointreau Hub at Bluebird (Bluebird Café, 350 Kings Road, London SW3 5UU)

– Tanqueray No. Ten Hub, Spitalfields (Mark’s Bar, Hixter, Devonshire Square, EC2M 4YN)

– The Nikka Hub at The Whisky Exchange (Vinopolis, 1 Bank End, London, SeE1 9BU)

(Note: For discerning bartenders and drinks professionals, The Spirits Business has listed out their top-10 “unmissable” events, so that’s worth a read, as are The Cocktail Lovers’ highlights since they always give the best inside scoop for all things drink.)
